Where can you go to indulge in world famous chocolate and ride insane roller coasters in one location? The answer is only one place, Hershey Park! Conveniently located at the “Sweetest Place on Earth,” Hershey, Pennsylvania. (Here are the directions)
Now if you are or were a member of the military or National Guard, then you’re in luck because your visit to Hershey Park can now be a little cheaper thanks to a military discount honored by Hershey.
Who is Eligible for this Military Discount?
This Hershey Park military discount is available during the regular summer operating schedule and can be applied to regular, junior, and senior one-day tickets. This discount is available to active duty military, reserves, retired military personnel, and members of the National Guard and all their dependents.
Where to Buy Tickets
These military discounted Hershey Park tickets can be bought from two locations. You can buy the tickets at the ticket office by showing your military ID. The person at the ticket office will then make a phone call to approve your ticket, which only takes about 15 seconds. And then that’s it! You get a $14 discount. You can also buy them from MWR facilities and ticket offices on military bases. (Based on the reduced ticket prices that could be found at the Aberdeen Proving Ground MWR, MD, the military discount tickets cost $44.50 for adults and $33.50 for children 3-8 years old.) This is a pretty good discount as compared to the general admission gate price of $56.95 for adults and $35.95 for children.
Now if you are unable to obtain any discounted tickets from your base, then all you need to do is send an email to hersheyparkgroups@hersheypa.com, with you complete mailing information and the discounted tickets will be sent to your household.
You can also show your military ID at the Guest Services or Tram Circle Group Sales Building and receive your discounted tickets there in person. These two locations will be located right outside the main entrance of the park.
Extending Your Stay
If you plan to spend more than one day in Hershey, PA, then I suggest that you check out one of these hotels and resorts that offer military and government discounted room rates.
The two main flagship hotels are The Hotel Hershey and The Hershey Lodge, both of which do not offer a military discount, but they do offer a 10% AAA discount.
Here are the hotels that offer military discounts that are very close to Hershey Park:
Note: I suggest calling each hotel first and booking through the phone so that you are sure that you book a military discount.
Now these three hotels listed above are the closest ones to the park that offer military discounts. However, there are a few more outside the Hershey Area that do offer military discounts. Just check out our hotels listing to see if the hotel you are looking to book offers a military discount. You can also book your rooms using a military discount HERE courtesy of Cheap O Stay. Have a Great Time!
Well that’s it! I hope you enjoy your visit to Hershey Park and I hope that you don’t eat too much chocolate. Thanks and enjoy!

Military should be free. Almost every other entertainment establishment treats the soldiers and sailors who protect this country better. Take a lesson from Sea World and Disney. Shamefull.
